Officers investigating a raid on a shop selling specialised bikes are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Two men drove a red Ford Fiesta into the shop front of Specialized in Nottingham Road, New Basford, just after midnight on Tuesday.

The men then jumped out of the car, grabbed two bikes and rode off on them in the direction on Egypt Road, leaving the stolen Ford Fiesta behind.

Officers have released images of the bikes stolen which are quite rare and worth around £3,000-£3,500 each.

The ram raiders were both white. One was wearing a grey jumper with a hoody and jogger bottoms and the second was wearing a white jumper.

Officers believe the theft may be linked to a similar incident at Chesterfield Cycle Centre in the early hours of yesterday.

Det Sgt James Bond said: “We would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of this incident to get in touch.

“We are also asking people to look out for these bikes – which are quite unique in appearance – particularly on selling sites.”

Anyone with information should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number six of March 15.
