A new mother and baby boutique shop, called JoJo Maman Bebe, is opening its doors at 20 Tudor Square in West Bridgford.
The official opening date has been announced as Saturday March 4 and to celebrate the day, the first 100 customers who spend in the store will receive a goody bag and balloon.
Loyal customers in the area have been campaigning for the shop to come to West Bridgford and the hard work has finally paid off.
Laura Tension, founder of JoJo Maman Bebe said: “West Bridgford has long been on our agenda after receiving lots of emails from young families wanting us to open, but finding the right location took time.”
Laura explained how her multi-channel retail strategy would help the local community, she said: “Just before opening we will email local customers and incentivise them to visit the town and the store.
“They are likely to spend time with neighbouring retailers and cafés as well as our new store, so it’s a win-win situation for all of us.”
Recent closures on West Bridgford’s high street include: The Monkey Tree, Jayline, County Home Interiors and most recently the Riverbank Bar and Kitchen.
The announcement of the new shop has been received with optimism on social media.
Andrea Rivlin from Nottingham said: “I don’t need to use this shop but so glad it’s not a coffee shop, estate agent or charity shop. West Bridgford has more than enough of those!”
Other residents expressed their excitement for the new shop.
Joy Bunting from Nottingham said: “ Looking forward to this shop opening. Love this shop.”
The new store will stock the full range of quirky and imaginative baby and children’s collections, nursery products, gifts and a wide selection of toys.
