It comes after Ryan Yates’s sudden departure as his loan spell was cut short by Nottingham Forest who recalled the midfielder to send him, on loan, to League One side, Scunthorpe.
The shock move has caused disappointment and anger among County fans and management, as well as inducing fear over losing fellow Forest loanee, Jorge Grant.
These fans are in particularly disappointed over the loss of Yates:
Disappointed Ryan Yates is leaving Notts Co he was doing so well helping them hopefully get promoted.. #NFFC Been told this lad is quality

Just heard about what’s happened with Ryan Yates. Yet another example of a rival team trying to sabotage our season. The decision makers at that tin pot club should hang their heads in shame. #DoNotReactYouAreTheSaboteur

The Magpies have also had a hectic week after defeating Championship side Brentford with Kevin Nolan’s team drawing the winner of the replay between Swansea and Wolves in the fourth round of the FA Cup, epitomizing the magic of the FA Cup.
It is, however, imperative that the Magpies do not let their cup run distract them from their league campaign.
Second in the league, County have an important local derby on Saturday which could help to close the four point gap which separates the Magpies from league leaders, Luton Town.
Not forgetting the departure of long serving Magpie, Haydn Hollis, who has joined fellow League Two side, Forest Green Rovers, after progressing through the academy at Meadow Lane and gaining 137 appearances for the team.
It is expected that there could be mention of a new signing from today’s press conference, as well as reassurance that the Magpies will not let the FA Cup win distract them from their hugely important league campaign.
We will have Kevin Nolan’s reaction to all of this action, plus the latest team news ahead of their clash with Lincoln, from the press conference this afternoon.
