
Italian take-away restaurant Pranzo has announced it is to close “until further notice”.
Located on Melton Road, West Bridgford, the business boasts a four-and-a-half star rating on TripAdvisor and is closing after two years of operation.
Pranzo provided Italian meals as well as breakfast and lunch services six days a week.
Residents of West Bridgford were surprised and disappointed with the announcement.
John Malone, 38, said: “It’s a shame to see it closed.
“I especially enjoyed their coffee and they did good food as well so hopefully it reopens again soon.”
The business posted a sign on its window thanking customers for their support and hoped they would re-open “in the near future.”

Tom Bloor wants to see Pranzo re-open as soon as possible.
The 29 year-old from West Bridgford said: “There’s a lot of competition around on this street so maybe that’s why it has closed, especially post-Christmas.
“It’s a shame and I hope they’re not closed for too long.”
Melton Road houses various food outlets including a fish and chip shop, a coffee shop, a bakery and a pizza take-away.
Mary West was also saddened by the news of the closure.
The 60 year-old from West Bridgford said: “It is never nice to see a small business close and I wasn’t expecting it.
“I’ve only ever heard good things about it.”
CBJ News attempted to make contact with Pranzo’s management but has not yet received comment from them.
