One of the four proposed plans for the new memorial

We want to know what you think about the four proposals for a new World War One memorial in Nottingham

Nottingham City Council released concepts of the proposals to allow the public to have their say on which design should be used.

The memorial will be inscribed with the names of more than 14,000 servicemen, women and civilians who lost their lives in the conflict between 1914 and 1918.

The new monument will be built near the Memorial Gardens on Nottingham’s Victoria Embankment, and is due to be unveiled on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, June 30.

The four designs are shown below, and you can vote on which one you like best in our poll below.

A large spire is the centre piece of the first design being considered.
The second option has a large monument people can get up close too.
The third design features a large poppy at its centre
The final design has a small plinth adorned with poppies at its heart.
