Police are to increase the number of officers on the street in Clifton after a man was robbed in the early hours of the morning.
The 50-year-old victim was walking back to his car and was robbed in Southchurch Drive in the early hours of Tuesday (May 22).
He sustained minor injuries from the attack and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s black Volkswagen Golf.
Nottinghamshire Police have described the suspect as “white, 20-30 years old, slim build and wearing a dark long-sleeved top and was wearing a mask covering the bottom half of his face. He spoke with a local Nottingham accent.”
The police have also confirmed the vehicle is a VW Golf Type R DSG.
Neighbourhood inspector James Walker said: “This type of violence will not be tolerated in Nottingham.
“Detectives from the complex crime unit will be continuing CCTV enquiries today and patrols will be increased in the area.
He added that if people had concerns they should contact patrolling officers or the local beat team.
