
A 26-year-old has has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a convenience store in Lenton.
The incident took place yesterday (May 1) at 11.05pm at Derby Road’s Best One convenient store where a shopkeeper sustained a number of injuries when a man with a knife and hammer demanded money.
The female victim was taken to the Queen Mary’s Medical Centre for treatment of her injuries which are thought not to be life-threatening.
Officers arrived quickly to the scene and arrested the man who is currently being questioned on suspicion of robbery, however, it is not yet known what was taken from the store.
