Star wars group

Last weekend Nottingham hosted a swarm of celebrities from the most iconic TV and film shows of all time.

The East Midlands TV & Film convention, at the Motorpoint Arena, was crowded with superheroes, villains and characters from the most well known movies and TV shows such as Avengers, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Star Wars and many more.

The main stars of the show however, were the guests who came to explore the event.

We rounded up the top costumes from the EM-CON 2019:

This Borg from Star Trek gathered eyes everywhere

Terry, 56, travelled all the way from Hull to show off his entirely home made costume of a Borg from Star Trek.

He said: “The eye was made from a belt buckle I ordered online. The wires are made from electrical wire protection and the arm was made from some pipes.”

Terry Boynton, 56.

Well, we never would have guessed it was homemade! Very talented indeed.

This Dr Who matched well with the Daleks at the event

Alex Wardle, 20, from Newark who described himself as *specifically* the 10th Dr Who, played by David Tennant.

Alex brought life to his costume and gathered a crowed of his own, during his stand offs with the Daleks.

This Wonderful Wonder Woman had heads spinning

Jenny Silver, 45, from Bestwood dazzled us all in her Wonder Woman attire, we could hardly tell the difference.

She said: “There are loads of people in Cosplay, which is always nice to see. I love all of the Avengers, especially Wonder Woman of course!”.

*Cosplay is the act of wearing costumes and accessories to portray a specific character.

This next group took friendship goals to a whole new level

This group took their costume to a whole new level and decided to dress up as the entire cast of Star Wars.

You would have thought they were the characters themselves the way they drew up a crowd!

The event was bursting with people, old and young, different stalls and fun things to do.
