The Nou Camp has seen many special Champions League nights.

They’ve done it before, but despite not happening in a final, Liverpool’s Champions League comeback was arguably the greatest of their history considering the opponents and the score.

Lionel Messi’s promise at the beginning of the season to bring the Champions League trophy back to Catalonia

But is the best of all time?

CBJ News looked over some memorable comebacks to decide which are the ten best since the Champions League began in 1992.

10.

Napoli 3-1 Chelsea
Chelsea 4-1 Napoli (aet)
2011/12 round of 16

Despite going out of the competition in the next round, Chelsea performance at home in the second leg in 2012 was nothing short of inspired.

9.

Olympiacos 2-0 Manchester United
Manchester United 3-0 Olympiacos
2013/14 round of 16

Robin van Persie’s scored a hat-trick in this gritty game for David Moyes’ Manchester United. Shame Bayern Munich took no prisoners in the next round!

8.

Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 Chelsea
Chelsea 2-0 Paris Saint-Germain
2013/14 quarter-finals

No one quite likes caving into the pressure of Europe’s premium competition as much as Paris St Germain. This game definitely set the tone of how their next few seasons in Europe would finish!

7.

Porto 3-1 Bayern München
Bayern München 6-1 Porto
2014/15 quarter-finals

Bayern put the nail in the coffin for Porto back in 2015. But Messi had other ideas when the two teams met in the semi-final.

6.

Barcelona 4-1 Roma
Roma 3-0 Barcelona
2017/18 quarter-finals

Roma got the better of Barcelona last year in the quarter-finals. This year’s finalists, however – Liverpool – proved too hot for Roma to handle on their way to trying to reach the final.

5.

Wolfsburg 2-0 Real Madrid
Real Madrid 3-0 Wolfsburg
2015/16 quarter-finals

Real Madrid would not be denied in 2016 in their quest to reclaim the Champions League from their bitter rivals, Barcelona. A Ronalda hat-trick provided the goods here as they went on to win the competition that year… and the two years following!

4.

Tottenham 0-1 Ajax, Ajax 2-3 Tottenham (3-3, Tottenham through on away goals)

Spurs seemed lacklustre in their first leg against Ajax. Their opponents started brightly in Amsterdam tonight yet again, but Spurs came back from 2-0 down to record on of the greatest victories of their time in the Champions League. This young Spurs side were keen to ensure we have an all-English final to look forward to. Ever thought you would see Spurs in a Champions League Final? Me neither…

3.

Manchester United 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain 1-3 Manchester United (3-3, United through on away goals)
2018/19 round of 16

United’s greatest achievement this season was surpassing PSG in the round of sixteen. An unsurpassed feat in terms of going through with a first league home defeat. United once again proved that the Parc de Princes is no cauldron.

2.

Paris Saint-Germain 4-0 Barcelona
Barcelona 6-1 Paris Saint-Germain

2016/17 round of 16

Lionel Messi and Neymar were at their absolute best in 2017, overturning a massive 4-0 first leg deficit. PSG humiliation at home by United this season is perhaps only surpassed by this thrashing.

1.

Barcelona 3-0 Liverpool
Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona
2018/19 semi-finals

Perhaps this is only first for me because it’s so fresh in the memory. But Liverpool’s performance last night was absolutely mesmerising. Considering the opponents, and the scoreline, THIS is the greatest Champions League comeback ever.
