They’ve done it before, but despite not happening in a final, Liverpool’s Champions League comeback was arguably the greatest of their history considering the opponents and the score.

United’s greatest achievement this season was surpassing PSG in the round of sixteen. An unsurpassed feat in terms of going through with a first league home defeat. United once again proved that the Parc de Princes is no cauldron.
Lionel Messi and Neymar were at their absolute best in 2017, overturning a massive 4-0 first leg deficit. PSG humiliation at home by United this season is perhaps only surpassed by this thrashing.
Perhaps this is only first for me because it’s so fresh in the memory. But Liverpool’s performance last night was absolutely mesmerising. Considering the opponents, and the scoreline, THIS is the greatest Champions League comeback ever.
