A woman’s body pulled from the River Trent in West Bridgford is not being treated as suspicious – but Police are asking if the public recognise jewellery found on the body.
Police and ambulances were called to the Lady Bay Bridge area just before 3.30pm on Wednesday 8 May after a body was identified in the water.
The woman’s identity is not yet known and enquiries are being continued by Nottinghamshire police.
She is described as black, with a short afro-hairstyle, is aged between 40 and 60, about 5ft 2ins tall and of stocky build.
The individual was wearing several items of jewellery (pictured), including three bangles on her right wrist, earrings in both ears and two rings, one on each hand.
The middle-aged female was wearing brown boots, black trousers, a red and black horizontally striped jumper and a black coat.
