Today Boots saw the launch of the globally loved Fenty beauty line by Rhianna, famed for its inclusive and diverse shade ranges.
Fenty fanatics and makeup lovers gathered at Boots inside Nottingham Victoria centre to browse the goods they can finally get their hands on, locally and in person.
The Fenty makeup counter was crowded with excited customers from all walks of life, backgrounds and ethnicities. With Rihanna’s face plastered all over the store and her music blasting – the vibe was certainly uplifting.
Youtube Influencer and beauty guru, Patricia Bright opened the event, which caught the attention of her followers who gathered to meet her.
Busola, 22 of Mansfield road said: “I originally saw a post on Instagram that she was going to be there. I was there from 8 o’clock and I waited 30 mins for the doors to open.
“I’ve been following her for about five years. There were different influencers at each store, we signed up through Facebook.”
Micheala, 19 from St Ann’s said: “I am glad that Rhianna has blessed us with Fenty Beauty in Nottingham because we’ve been waiting for way too long.
“I’m glad they’ve come permanently, because it’s something that we need especially in Boots because Boots has no shade range. I need a shade that matches my skin, and Rihanna has blessed us with that.”
Sye, 18, said: “With the campaign itself I think they’re amazing because it’s not just the variety, which is amazing, they finally have shades for all my brothers and sisters of colour.
“Even people with really light skin, everyone can find their shade now, like the exact number. I think she’s just such an inspirational woman, even with her models, shes getting all different types of models- not just getting the ‘cookie-cutter’ type of model. She gets people who are not the typical standard of beauty and I think that is also good for makeup.”
Shanaz, 35, from St Ann’s said: “When I heard the launch was going out here I was happy. Everyone was talking about it online.
“I’m so happy it’s here, it’s just around the corner, I don’t have to go online anymore.”
Seb James, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Boots, said: “Launching Fenty Beauty is a pivotal moment in Boots’ beauty reinvention as we re-imagine and redefine what to expect from high street beauty.
“Over the next 6 months, we are launching over 20 new brands to become the top destination for global cult beauty for the 1.3 billion customer visits we have to our stores and digital channels each year.”
This new access will have all Rihanna and Fenty fans running towards their nearest Boots.
