
Police arrested five men after responding to reports of a group of people fighting on a Hucknall street with weapons including a golf club and a screwdriver.
Officers quickly arrived at the scene on Laughton Crescent and located two vehicles, one of which drove off, containing suspects believed to be involved.
A member of the public who was doing his gardening suffered a minor head injury after he was hit by an object believed to have been thrown from one of the vehicles.
The incident was reported to police shortly after midday yesterday (Wednesday, May 6).
Officers arrested two suspects after stopping one of the vehicles and three more suspects from the other vehicle.
Five men, aged 31, 23, 23, 22 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.
Enquiries are ongoing and the five men have all since been released under investigation.
