A man has been remanded into custody after allegedly assaulting two people.

Police attended a house in Keyworth at around 12.30pm on June 13 following a domestic incident where a man reportedly threatened to burn down the property.

Lloyd Jones, 44, of Park Avenue in Keyworth has been charged with assault by beating, actual bodily harm, harassment, controlling and cohesive behaviour and affray.

He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Nottingham Crown Court on July 12.

The leader of the investigation, Detective Constable Elizabeth Gray of Nottinghamshire Police’s Public Protection said: “As a force, we are committed to tackling domestic abuse and we will always look to support victims with specially trained officers while we take appropriate action against those who commit such offences.

“Thankfully in this incident no one was seriously injured.

“We would urge anyone, if you need support, please remember that you are not alone and there are services available to help you.”
