A suspect has been questioned after a stabbing left a man with serious injuries.
The arrest comes after emergency services were called to Bramerton Road in Bilborough at around 2.20pm on 16 June, where there was a report of an attack on an 18-year-old man.
The victim is still recovering in hospital but his injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent as detectives continue with their enquiries.
Detective Constable Gavin Harper, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We recognise how serious incidents such as this can send shock waves through communities but I can reassure them that we treat reports of this nature extremely seriously and we will always do everything we can to keep people safe as our main priority.
“While we’ve made a significant arrest in connection with this stabbing our determined endeavours to get to the bottom of what happened are very much ongoing and, as such, I’d urge any who has any information or footage relating to the incident to please get in touch with us if they haven’t already done so.
“As a force we have some of the lowest rates of knife crime incidents in recent years as a result of the relentless prevention work we continue to drive forward with our partners.
“Our dedicated knife crime team, supported by other proactive police teams, is also continuing to have a positive impact in the city and the county by dealing robustly with offenders and removing dangerous weapons from our streets.”
