The popular Splendour festival has once again been postponed until next year after lockdown restrictions were delayed a further four weeks.
The organisers of the event DHP released a statement yesterday revealing the festival was to be postponed for a second year in a row, and it has now been pushed back to Saturday 23 July 2022.
The statement from the organisers said: “We’re devastated that we’re having to postpone for a second year running.
“We know this will be disappointing to everyone who had plans to attend, but also for all the artists, contractors and staff who count on Splendour for work.
“We can only say how sorry we are that we couldn’t make it work for this year.”
The annual event was originally scheduled to go ahead at Wollaton Park on Saturday 24 July 2021 with Richard Ashcroft and Supergrass set to headline.
As the event has now been pushed back to 2022, there is still hope this years lineup will be available to perform next year.
For anyone that has already purchased a ticket for this year’s festival, this will still be valid for next year’s event.
