Nottinghamshire play host to Lancashire this week in Division One of the County Championships as both sides look to find form and climb up the table.

The fixture will take place at Trent Bridge between Thursday May 4 – Sunday May 7.

The two sides sit level on 29 points, with Notts managing one win and two defeats, whilst the visitors have drawn all three of their matches so far.

Last time out Lancashire got their third draw in a row against Somerset, whilst Nottinghamshire lost out to Middlesex.

Nottinghamshire were recently promoted to Division One, and the match will have added emphasis as it reunites the partnership of England’s two leading wicket-takers in Stuart Broad and James Anderson.

The pair have collectively taken over 1,200 Test Wickets, and in fact no other fast bowlers have taken more than Anderson (685) and Broad (576).

The home side managed promotion last season from Division Two after winning eight of their 14 matches in the league, after spending three years away from the top flight after relegation in 2019.

Both sides are hoping to find more consistent form to move away from the bottom of the table, and close the gap on Surrey who lead the way with 52 points.

The match gets underway at 11am this Thursday.
