The upcoming event-filled weekend has forced East Midlands Railway (EMR) to notify regular commuters of an unusually busy couple of days.
EMR went on Twitter to warn its frequent rail users of a “busier than usual” weekend, following the King’s coronation, major works and sporting activity.
The Tweet requested that commuters pre-plan journeys, allowing for extra time and assessing the situation before they travel.
The tweet read: “Due to The Kings Coronation, engineering works and various sporting events the network is expected to be busier than usual this weekend. Please allow extra time and check your journey before you travel.”
