The first innings have passed in Nottinghamshire’s opening County Championships game, and they have improved on their opposition’s total.

Lancashire were up first and were all out for 214, which Notts beat by 35 runs to finish on 249.

Lancashire are now out again for their second innings, currently at 98-1 after 27 overs.

Haseeb Hammed holds the top total for the first innings, notching 97 before being bowled out by Will Williams via lbw.

Lancashire’s top scorer was Josh Bohannon who hit 68 before being bowled out by Brett Hutton

And Hutton took the most wickets in Lancashire’s first innings with two, followed by Stuart Broad and Olly Stone on two and Luke Fletcher on one.

Lancashire’s wickets were better spread, with Tom Bailey, Williams and George Balderson all taking 3, whilst Kiwi medium-fast bowler Colin de Grandhomme took one.

England legend Jimmy Anderson bowled 13 overs but could not take a wicket.

Lancashire are now out for their second innings, with Bohannon and Balderson at the crease on 38 and 44 respectively.

Fletcher has taken the only wicket of the second innings thus far.
