Sir Keir Starmer will today face MPs’ questions for the first time since the disastrous local election results threw his leadership into disarray.

In the May elections Labour lost 1,496 council seats in England and perhaps most shockingly, control of the Welsh Senedd for the first time in over 100 years.

The aftermath of those results is still playing out, with potential leadership challenges from both Wes Streeting and the still not-an-MP Andy Burnham.

Could one of our leadership hopefuls make a move today while all eyes are on the PM?

We’re expecting all of this to be dragged up at today’s PMQs making for what could be a very tense half hour for the Prime Minister.

Other topics that Sir Keir could be grilled on today include Streeting’s sudden annoucement that he thinks we should re-join the EU, the ongoing war in Iran and the unexpected rise in unemployment rates.
